Mason Owen secure £8m Bromborough warehouse on behalf of Invista

PROPERTY agents Mason Owen has secured the purchase of a new £8m distribution warehouse in Bromborough for Invista Real Estate Investment Management.

The deal, which was in excess of £8m, was to purchase and develop the 170,000 sq ft warehouse in conjunction with Hampton Brook Estates Limited and the North West Regional Development Agency.

The warehouse has already been pre-let to Great Bear Distribution Limited for a period of 10 years with a fixed rental uplift in the fifth year.

The warehouse is located on Thermal Road opposite Cereal Partners factory in Bromborough. Great Bear currently has a contract to warehouse and distribute Cereal Partners products so this new facility will greatly reduce its carbon footprint.

The warehouse is due to be completed in December 2011. The state of the art facility will be rated BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) excellent.

Property agents Legat Owen represented Great Bear and Hampton Brook Estates and Mason Owen represented Invista.

Lawyers Howes Percival represented Hampton Brook Estates, Eversheds for Great Bear, Platt and Fishwick for the NWDA and DLA Piper for Invista’s clients.
