Mason Owen Director wins Outstanding Contribution Property Award

Last night Chris Connor, director at Mason Owen, was named as the inaugural winner of the Outstanding Contribution to Merseyside Property award at Insider’s Merseyside Property Dinner.

Connor was recognised by his peers as an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to property and regeneration in the Liverpool area.
More than 230 guests attended the dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool and gave a standing ovation to a man widely recognised as a key member of the local property scene.

The annual dinner held by the Insider is now in its ninth year but this was the first time there was an Outstanding Contribution Award.

Attendees at the dinner were invited to cast their votes from the shortlist of names which included some of the key property players in the region including Steve Parry, managing director of Neptune Developments; Rod Holmes, chairman of The Mersey Partnership; Guy Butler, projects director, Grosvenor.
Chris Connor said “I am absolutely delighted but shocked to have won this award. It is great to be recognised, especially as it is voted by my peers and I was up against so many other well-known figures in property.”

During his speech he paid tribute to working for a great company, Mason Owen, and with a fantastic team.

Connor is a key figure in the city’s professional networks, he previously chaired the Merseyside Property Forum before it merged with Professional Liverpool and is the driving force behind the Liverpool Cannes Do event at the end of MIPIM week.

The awards took place last night at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool. Speakers included Joe Anderson, leader of Liverpool City Council, and Max Steinberg, chief executive of economic development body Liverpool Vision.
