Biofortuna Ltd is a VC backed HLA molecular diagnostics company based in Cheshire providing the world’s first freeze-dried PCR reaction mix. 

 In 2010 Biofortuna selected Active Profile to support and deliver the creative elements of their European and UK launch campaign for SSP Go, the world’s first single step, off the shelf SSP solution.



Working closely with Biofortuna’s senior management team, Active Profile scoped out a press launch campaign

for SSP Go. From media research and consultation, to writing the press release and getting the release placed Active Profile managed the process from start to finish. Spinning out of the activity, Biofortuna had interview opportunities with the main trade magazines including, Genome web. The online coverage generated drove a high volume of traffic to the Biofortuna website and initiated enquiries relating to the product.

As part of the launch campaign for SSP Go BioFortuna attended 3 major trade shows in the UK and Europe. 

Active Profile designed and produced exhibition materials, a corporate brochure and stationery to support this. The feedback received at the trade shows from peers was excellent.

Active Profile designed an email campaign for the launch SSP Go. The campaign was delivered on Active Profile’s

email campaign platform. The flexible email marketing tool allows the campaigns to be delivered in house; the results from the campaigns are tracked and reporting is available at the click of a button.
